The Minnesota Zoo Teacher Discount is an excellent way to save money on family outings or give an extra ticket to your student. With discounts available regularly for teachers, students, and their families; it’s wise to check them out frequently.

Free to Explore Program

The Minnesota Zoo offers a free admission program for families on government assistance. If you can show proof of income that has been verified by the agency and show documentation confirming enrollment in one of their government programs such as Medical Assistance or WIC, then admission will be provided at no cost.

Last year, the Minnesota Zoo experienced a 63 percent spike in low-income visitors thanks to their Free to Explore Program, launched 20 years ago as an offshoot of Zoo Access.

Every Halloween at the Zoo, guests are treated to an unforgettable experience: thousands of illuminated pumpkins! Sponsored by Think Bank, this activity has become a favorite for kids of all ages.

Student Discount

The zoo offers a student discount to college and high school students. This discount can be applied to all adult daytime Zoo admission tickets, valid for up to four individuals in one family.
