Microsoft is one of the world’s premier tech companies and their products can come at a premium price tag. To help offset that expense, they offer students, teachers and parents exclusive discounts that range from up to 10% off Surface devices to free web access of Microsoft Office; though there may be exceptions such as digital apps/subscription services/personalized products/Xbox consoles/games or accessories not eligible for discounts.
To qualify for a Microsoft Office Teacher Discount, you must be either a current student, teacher or parent with a valid school email address. Microsoft will verify your status either online at time of purchase or later contact you to provide proof. If opting for the former method of verification, your discount will automatically be applied at checkout.
If you prefer shopping in-store, a valid school email address or government ID may qualify you for the discount. Microsoft will contact you for confirmation; if this meets the requirements they’ll issue a promo code which can be used at checkout.
Microsoft isn’t the only retailer offering education discounts; several others do too, like Barnes & Noble who offers up to 25% off during their Educator Appreciation Days; Books-a-Million provides 15% year-round discount when educators sign up for their Educator Program.
