HomeGoods doesn’t list a teacher discount. Its How We Do It page says “Unlike traditional retailers, we generally don’t do promotions, sales, coupons, or other gimmicks,” and none of the pages we read mentions teachers or educators. The route we found for getting something back is cash back on gift cards: Fluz sells HomeGoods digital gift cards with 6% cashback.
If you’re stocking a reading corner, hunting for bins for the supply closet or picking out a thank-you gift for a colleague, it helps to know that before you stand at the register asking about a teacher price.
How To Get The HomeGoods Teacher Discount
There’s no teacher discount to claim, so there’s no code to enter and no verification step. HomeGoods describes itself as an off-price retailer in its FAQ, and the How We Do It page says it’s selling at everyday prices instead of running sales. We read that page along with the FAQ, the About page, Comparison Pricing, Stay Connected and the Gift Cards page, and none of them has teacher or educator wording.
On Fluz, the HomeGoods page is titled “HomeGoods gift cards with 6% cashback.” Fluz says “Anyone who creates a Fluz account can purchase a gift card,” and that when you buy one, “it will be delivered digitally to your Fluz account.” The button below goes to Fluz.
Cash Back Routes We Checked
The 6% is for buying the gift card, and you spend the card at HomeGoods afterward. HomeGoods’ own Gift Cards page says “No expiration dates. Redeem in store.” Fluz’s page has instructions for using the card online too, and says “If your card has no CSC code it cannot be used online.” We couldn’t confirm that homegoods.com sells online, so we’d plan on using the card in a store.
Rakuten’s address for HomeGoods loads its general page, not a store page, and we didn’t find a HomeGoods page on TopCashback at the addresses we tried. Rates change, so read the percentage on the Fluz page the day you buy.
What HomeGoods Does Offer
HomeGoods’ TJX Rewards credit card page says “Plus, enjoy 10% off your first in-store purchase!” The fine print reads “Subject to credit approval. Excludes gift cards. Discount is only valid when used with your TJX Rewards® credit card.” It’s open to anyone who applies and is approved, so it isn’t a teacher discount, and it comes with a credit application, so that one is your call.
What We Couldn’t Confirm
We can’t see what a particular store does at the register, so if a cashier offers something for teachers, that isn’t something we could check. We didn’t place an order, so we can’t say how long cash back takes to arrive on a Fluz gift card or whether homegoods.com sells online.
