If you’re in Las Vegas with an afternoon free, or you’re pricing out a day with your own kids, you probably hoped for a teacher rate. We’d rather tell you what the pages say than have you find out at the ticket window.
How To Get The Shark Reef Aquarium Teacher Discount
There isn’t a published one to claim. We read the Shark Reef Aquarium page, the ticket-type page, the annual pass checkout page and the Mandalay Bay FAQ, and none of them has a teacher, school or discount category. The aquarium page lists feeds, tours and yoga as its packages and specials. The only place either page says “educator” is the guided tour, which is led by a Shark Reef Educator, and that’s the guide’s job title, not a rate for visiting teachers.
ID.me’s MGM Resorts page says it isn’t aware that MGM Resorts offers Teachers discounts, which matches what the aquarium pages show. If you want to ask about a group or educator rate anyway, the aquarium page lists an information line at 702.632.4555.
What You Can Use Instead
The ticket-type page sells timed entrance, anytime tickets, an annual pass and guided tours. The annual pass is the one place the page names a price: $85.00 for ages 13 and up and $45.00 for ages 5 to 12. Its benefits list unlimited entry for one year, $5.00 off admission for guests, $5 off the Stingray Feed, $10 off the Shark Feed and Turtle Feed, and 10% off regular priced gift shop merchandise. That’s worth a look if you’re local or you expect to be back more than once.
The aquarium page describes more than 2,000 animals, and the guided tour runs 45 minutes with a Shark Reef Educator. A Las Vegas family-activity site, lasvegaskids.net, says Nevada residents get $3 off an adult or child admission and that Shark Reef has a Veteran’s Day military discount available in person. Shark Reef’s own pages don’t mention either one, so confirm them before you count on them.
Cash Back Routes We Checked
Fluz and TopCashback return not-found pages for a Shark Reef address, and Rakuten’s address for it loads its general page instead of a store page. Fluz does list Mandalay Bay gift cards with 6.5% cashback, and its page says they’re redeemable at participating locations at MGM Resorts destinations. It doesn’t name Shark Reef, so we can’t tell you a gift card would cover aquarium tickets, and we aren’t pointing you to one. Rates change, so read the page before you buy anything.
What We Couldn’t Confirm
The ticket checkout only shows its ticket types after you pick a date, and we couldn’t step through that part. A rate that shows up only at checkout or at the box office isn’t something we could rule out. We also didn’t find any page about school or group pricing for Shark Reef, so we can’t say whether a class booking gets a different rate.
