The group visits page says groups can add an education experience, a feeding or a pavilion rental. The education programs are led by a member of the zoo’s education team and feature behind-the-scenes animals and unique artifacts. Pricing ranges from $125-$275, the two program venues can comfortably accommodate up to 40 individuals and 90 individuals, and programs must be scheduled at least one full week in advance.
The giraffe feeding lets students and chaperones come face-to-face with the zoo’s giraffes, Gerald and Dhoruba, at $4 per person. The covered outdoor Calle Mae Picnic Pavilion is available to rent for $200-$350, and a group that doesn’t rent it can find first-come, first-served picnic table seating around the zoo.
Visiting On Your Own
On the Visit page, adults (ages 13 – 64) are $18.95 online / $19.95 onsite, children (ages 3 – 12) are $15.95 online / $16.95 onsite and seniors (ages 65 and up) are $15.95 online / $16.95 onsite. Babies ages 0 – 2 are free, and the page says prices may change based on days of the week and special events. Yearly members enjoy free zoo admission all year long.
The page also lists a student ticket at $16.95 online / $17.95 onsite with valid ID required. It doesn’t say who counts as a student or mention teachers, so we can’t tell you whether a school ID would work for it.
