In 2000 and 2009, the California Science Center conducted telephone surveys with random samples of Los Angeles residents asking them to rate their likert-scale satisfaction with their experience at the museum and provide short answers about specific scientific concepts-homeostasis for instance-which they had learned while visiting. Over just several years’ visitors reported more positive experiences at the Science Center. The results demonstrated this trend clearly: visitors reported having greater positive interactions at this venue compared to earlier visits.
