How To Get The AT&T Internet Teacher Discount
On the internet side, there isn’t one to get. AT&T’s teacher page says teachers can save up to 20% on its most popular unlimited plans, and those are wireless plans. ID.me’s discount page for AT&T Internet says it isn’t aware that AT&T Internet offers Teachers discounts, and AT&T’s own page backs that up, since the only fiber offer on it is the bundle described below.

What AT&T’s Teacher Page Shows For Fiber
The same teacher page shows a fiber and wireless bundle. The fine print reads $420 in savings for new customers, based on combined discounts of $35/mo. on 5-GIG internet with eligible wireless service and eligible AutoPay and a paperless bill, in limited areas. That’s a bundle price for new customers, and it’s tied to wireless service, so it isn’t a rate set aside for teachers. The page also says you’ll need to shop for wireless first before signing up for fiber.
If you already have AT&T wireless, that order of steps may matter to you. If you don’t, check the bundle terms on AT&T’s page before you count on the $35/mo. figure, since it depends on the wireless service and the AutoPay and paperless billing the fine print lists.
Cash Back Sources
Rakuten’s terms say cash back is only available for new subscribers, and that you’re only eligible after AT&T has confirmed the internet service has been active for at least sixty days and payment has been processed. So the cash back doesn’t show up when you sign up. It arrives after two months of service.
ID.me’s AT&T Internet store page offers to activate up to $20.00 cash back, and its restrictions say that using coupons and promotional codes that aren’t on ID.me may void it. We didn’t find an AT&T page on Fluz at either fluz.app/store/att or fluz.app/store/at-t, and TopCashback has none at topcashback.com/att or topcashback.com/at-t.
What We Couldn’t Confirm
We didn’t place an order, so we can’t say what a plan costs at your address or whether the cash back posts as advertised. Rakuten’s page lists a dollar amount next to each of its AT&T Fiber and AT&T Copper rows, and we couldn’t tell from the page which amount goes with which row, so we’re only quoting the up to $40 in its title. ID.me’s store page doesn’t say whether its cash back is limited to new subscribers. Fiber isn’t available everywhere, and AT&T’s page marks its bundle as limited by availability.
