An at home teacher discount is an excellent way to save money when purchasing curriculum, supplies and educational products for your classroom. Not only will this help you stay within budget but it also ensures your students receive the best education possible.

Many retailers provide discounts to teachers and homeschoolers, but some require verification of your status. This can be accomplished either through creating a homeschool ID or joining a co-op that issues one automatically.

Barnes & Noble offers an Educator program that rewards teachers with 20% off list price and 25% discount on Educator Appreciation Days. This discount is valid for all teachers – including homeschooling parents – on items such as study guides, teacher aides, test prep, summer reading programs, educational toys/games and reference guides.

Office Depot and Staples offer a rewards program that rewards teachers with 5% back on purchases as well as 10% back on teaching and art supplies. To take advantage of this benefit, educators must present their Office Max rewards number and teacher ID at checkout.

Macy’s also offers an Educator Discount, which is open to all K-12 educators and school faculty members. This discount can be applied towards select Mac or iPad models both in-store or online.

Joann’s offers a 15% teacher discount both in-store and online for all teachers, including homeschoolers. To take advantage of this offer, teachers must present either their current teaching ID or proof of homeschool status such as a letter of intent.
