Visits to the Aquarium of the Pacific are more than just entertaining – they provide an immersive learning experience, teaching kids about our ocean environment and its impact on us all.
The aquarium features 19 major habitats and 32 focus exhibits that celebrate the Pacific Ocean as Earth’s largest body of water. Each region features marine life that reflects climate conditions in that area; children can get close to a shark’s jaw, identify fastest, smallest or rarest sea creature games or watch divers feed one of the animals from within a tank! Plus there are hands-on activities designed to teach them science behind what they see!
Teachers at the aquarium are appreciated every day, but especially during Teacher Appreciation Month in March. At this event, educators can receive free admission and discounts on food and programs. Teachers should bring either their school ID card or an official letter from their district stating they are teachers to be eligible.
EBT/WIC cardholders can get discounted tickets and membership. Bring both your card and photo ID to the ticket booth to redeem this discount; tickets only valid on date/time purchased – be sure to arrive early for best results!
Every member can take advantage of unlimited aquarium admission for 12 months, 50% off parking with pre-paid vouchers, discounts on gift store purchases and 10% off day camps and family memberships as well as receiving the Member Magazine subscription and being invited to members-only events – for just $239 annually! The plus membership costs an extra $35 annually.
