CenturyLink

CenturyLink doesn’t have a teacher discount that we could find. Nothing on CenturyLink’s own site points to one, and ID.me says it isn’t aware…

CenturyLink doesn’t have a teacher discount that we could find. Nothing on CenturyLink’s own site points to one, and ID.me says it isn’t aware of one at Lumen. What we could confirm is cash back: Fluz lists 1.5% at CenturyLink, and Rakuten’s CenturyLink address loads a Quantum Fiber page that lists $25 for new internet installs.

If you’re a teacher pricing out home internet where CenturyLink is offered, cash back is the saving we could confirm. Here’s what we looked at and where the gaps are.

There isn’t a standing one to get. ID.me’s Lumen page says “We’re not aware that Lumen offers Teachers discounts.” We also read CenturyLink’s residential home page and its internet page, and neither has teacher or educator wording on it. The internet page advertises fiber internet with unlimited data and no annual contract.

Because a home page can leave things out, we also read the lists of pages CenturyLink publishes for search engines. Its residential list has 29 addresses, its help list has 456, its small business list has 85 and its about-us list has 48. None of them has teacher or educator in the address. A teacher program would normally have a page of its own, so we don’t think one is hiding there. If you want to be sure for your own address, CenturyLink’s customer service is the place to ask, and getting any answer in writing is worth it.

The button below goes to Fluz, the one cash back route that names CenturyLink on its own page.

What Each Cash Back Source Says

Fluz lists 1.5% cashback at CenturyLink. Rakuten is less direct. Its CenturyLink address loads a Quantum Fiber store page headed “$25 Cash Back,” and we couldn’t tell from that page whether it covers CenturyLink-branded service in your area. Its terms say cash back is only for completed and installed high speed internet sales, and only on the initial installation.

We didn’t find a TopCashback page for CenturyLink. Rates change, so check the number on the portal before you order.

What We Couldn’t Confirm

We didn’t call CenturyLink, so we can’t say whether a representative could offer a school or educator rate on request. We also couldn’t read CenturyLink’s page for college students, so we can’t say what it offers. We didn’t place an order either, so we don’t know which cash back applies to a particular plan or address, or whether using a cash back portal affects any promotion CenturyLink is running.
