Cricut gives certified U.S. teachers free shipping on the entire order, an additional 15% off Cricut materials and accessories, and special discounted prices on five cutting machines, from $109 for the Cricut Joy 2 Essential Bundle up to $599 for the Cricut Venture. It works only on cricut.com for U.S. orders, and the terms say it’s for personal use only and not recommended for classroom use.
If you’ve been eyeing a cutting machine for labels, bulletin board letters or classroom decor, this is the page to start from. We’ve kept the machine prices exact below, because the terms are particular about what’s covered.
How To Get The Cricut Teacher Discount
Go to Cricut’s teacher discount page and fill out the form on it, which the page says is powered by gocertify. The page says a Teacher Discount code is delivered by email after successful certification and that the discount is applied in the cart. It also says gocertify isn’t affiliated with Cricut, Inc. and that gocertify’s separate terms and restrictions may apply.
gocertify’s FAQ for this offer lists what you can use to verify: a staff ID badge issued by your school, college or university, a teaching license or certification, a recent payslip from within the last 3 months, a confirmation using your work email, a letter from your school on official letterhead, or a pension document.
What You Get
The page offers U.S. teachers free shipping on the entire order and two discounts. The first is an additional 15% off Cricut materials and accessories. The second is an everyday special discounted price on five machines: $109 for the Cricut Joy 2 Essential Bundle, $149 for the Cricut Joy Xtra, $199 for the Cricut Explore 5 Essential Bundle, $379 for the Cricut Maker 4 and $599 for the Cricut Venture.
Only those five machines are covered. The terms say the discount is available only on select machines and excludes extensions, bulk, bundles, Protection Plans and new products launched in the last 90 days. The page names two of the five machines with Bundle in the name and also says it excludes bundles, and it doesn’t explain the difference, so we’ve listed the prices exactly as the page does.
Who Counts As A Teacher
Cricut’s Teachers page says the discount is eligible only for certified U.S. teachers (powered by gocertify) on U.S. purchases on Cricut.com, and it doesn’t define teacher further. gocertify’s FAQ for the offer lists full-time and part-time teachers from early years through secondary or high school, college and university lecturers, professors and teaching staff, teaching assistants and classroom support staff, and supply, substitute and agency teachers. It also lists homeschool educators registered with a homeschooling body, where applicable, and retired teachers with a pension document that mentions their former role.
That FAQ is gocertify’s own wording, and it also names a UK teaching certificate, so we can’t say Cricut accepts every group on it for the U.S. offer.
What To Know Before You Buy
The page says the discount is for personal use only on cricut.com and currently for U.S. orders only, and that it doesn’t work in Design Space, in-store or on any third-party website. It says the discount is applied in cart and isn’t combinable with any other offers, so don’t count on stacking it with a sale. It’s non-transferable and has no cash value, and the page says it’s a time-limited offer, subject to availability. Cricut says it can cancel or limit the program in its sole discretion at any time.
The page also says the discount isn’t recommended for classroom use, and it explains that the vast majority of Cricut products are manufactured for “Adult Use Only” and aren’t intended for children twelve (12) years of age and younger. If you’re buying for your school, Cricut’s Teachers page says its Authorized EDU Resellers can help, and its FAQ says to schedule a briefing with an EDU specialist, who’ll connect your school with a reseller that can process tax exemption POs.
What We Couldn’t Confirm
The page gives no end date, only a line calling the offer time-limited, and it doesn’t mention Black Friday or Cyber Monday. We didn’t submit the form or check out, so we haven’t seen a code arrive or how the machine prices show up in the cart. We also can’t tell you which document types or roles Cricut accepts beyond what gocertify’s FAQ lists.
