Corkcicle gives teachers a discount on every order, verified through GovX, and it’s for US orders only. Its promos page lists Teachers alongside First Responders, Military, Medical Workers and Government Employees, and it doesn’t state a percentage or dollar amount.
If you’re eyeing a piece of drinkware for yourself or a gift for the teacher down the hall, the order you do things in at checkout matters, so we’ve laid out the steps and the limits.
How To Get The Corkcicle Teacher Discount
The promos page says to have all your items in your cart and head to the checkout page. Then you click the GovX button at checkout and follow the prompt through GovX, and the page says that once you’re verified, the discount will automatically apply to your order.
Corkcicle’s help article describes the last step a little differently. It says “After you verify, you’ll receive a single-use discount code to apply at checkout.” Either way, it happens at checkout. The article adds that for future purchases you log in with your GovX ID and get a new discount code.
Keep promo codes out of your cart until you’ve verified. The help article says that if you have a discount or promo code applied before you go through verification, “the GovX discount will not apply. Please remove the code and try again.” The button below goes to Corkcicle’s page.
Who Qualifies
The promos page lists just “Teachers.” The help article is more specific and lists “Teachers (K-12 and University teachers/staff).” It also says “Please note this applies to US Orders ONLY,” so a Corkcicle order shipped outside the US isn’t covered.
What The Discount Doesn’t Cover
The promos page says “this discount cannot be combined with any other discount codes or used on sale items,” and the help article repeats it. Both pages give a limit of one discount code per day, so if you’re buying a few gifts, put them all in one cart.
What The Discount Is Worth
Corkcicle doesn’t publish a percentage or dollar amount for the teacher discount on either page. The only 10% on the promos page is a different offer, a welcome code that reads “Receive 10% off your first purchase by signing up for our emails!” That one is for new email sign-ups and isn’t the teacher discount, so we haven’t put a number on it. Check your cart total after you verify to see what you’re getting.
What We Couldn’t Confirm
An older Corkcicle page, Student & Teacher ID.me Discounts, is still live and still names ID.me in its heading. The help article says Corkcicle recently switched from ID.me to GovX, so we followed the promos page and the help article. We can’t say whether the ID.me page still works at checkout.
Neither page names retired teachers, substitutes or homeschool teachers, and neither gives an end date for the program. We didn’t place an order, so we can’t say whether the discount shows up as an automatic price change or as a code to paste.
Q&A
Does Corkcicle give teachers a discount?
Yes. Its promos page says it offers a discount on every order to First Responders, Military, Medical Workers, Government Employees and Teachers.
How do I verify?
Click the GovX button at checkout and follow the prompt. The promos page says the discount then applies automatically, and the help article says you receive a single-use code to apply at checkout.
How much is the teacher discount?
Corkcicle doesn’t state a percentage or dollar amount on the promos page or in the help article.
Is the 10% welcome code the teacher discount?
No. The promos page lists it separately, as 10% off your first purchase for signing up for emails.
Can I use it with another code or on sale items?

The pages give a limit of one discount code per day. The help article says to log in with your GovX ID for future purchases and get a new code.
Does it work outside the US?
