EyeBuyDirect gives teachers 30% off through ID.me, which is the kind of number that makes a new pair of glasses feel less like a splurge. The catch is that ID.me’s page says only that additional restrictions may apply and doesn’t spell them out, so this is a discount to confirm at your cart before you count on it.
ID.me’s EyeBuyDirect page shows blue light blocking lenses, designer frames and the Ray-Ban Meta glasses. The teacher offer sits on that page alongside offers for several other groups, and verifying as a teacher is what qualifies you for it.
How To Get The EyeBuyDirect Teacher Discount
ID.me lists the offer as 30% off for Teachers. Start at ID.me’s EyeBuyDirect page, sign in to your ID.me account or make a free one, and confirm that you’re a teacher. ID.me says verified Teachers community members get these savings through ID.me Shop, so use that route instead of going straight to the store.
Once you’re through, build your order and look for the 30% at checkout before you enter payment details. If the discount doesn’t show up, go back to ID.me and start from the brand’s page again rather than adding the pair to a cart from a bookmark.
What ID.me Says About Restrictions
The restriction line on ID.me’s store page is one sentence: additional restrictions may apply. That’s all it says. We couldn’t find a list of excluded frames, a spending cap or a limit on how many times you can use it, and we won’t guess at one. If you’re planning a larger order, such as glasses for the whole family, check the cart total after the discount applies, not before.
Other Offers On ID.me’s Page
ID.me’s EyeBuyDirect page also lists separate offers that aren’t tied to teachers. One is 30% off blue light blocking lenses, and another is 50% off lenses with the purchase of any designer frame. Those need promo codes, and codes come and go, so we’re leaving them out. We couldn’t confirm whether the teacher discount can be combined with any of them. ID.me’s page doesn’t say, so price the cart both ways.
ID.me also lists up to 6.0% cash back at EyeBuyDirect, and says cash back offers are for every ID.me member. It’s a different benefit from the teacher discount. We didn’t find anything about whether the two apply to the same order, and an “up to” rate is a ceiling, so open the store page and read the rate it shows for you.
