Teachers in North and South Carolina can enjoy free admission to Charlotte Nature Museum on September 10, 17 and 24 with proof of employment or school ID, or visit any or all three Discovery Place museums – Charlotte Nature Museum, Discovery Place Kids Huntersville and Rockingham – free on Teacher Appreciation Days.
Discovery Place Museums offer free admission, while also providing opportunities for students and educators to build STEM skills with programs funded by Bank of America’s donation of $1 million. These funds will support high quality STEM education that equips young people for successful careers.
Discovery Place provides educators with all of the benefits associated with museum membership. A family membership provides access to two adults and all children ages 18 or under living within the same household, including discounts and invitations to special events as well as unlimited Museum admission and more. Furthermore, educators can take advantage of ACM Reciprocal Program which gives 50% off admission at participating museums for families living within that membership’s boundaries.
