Qatar Airways is expanding their ‘free flights’ giveaway for teachers worldwide as a thank you gesture during the coronavirus pandemic. They plan to give away 21,000 economy class tickets across their network worldwide each day, distributed across 75 countries (as of this writing).
Teachers looking to fly for free need only register on Qatar’s website and present proof of teaching status to qualify. Once ticket winners are identified, airport taxes as well as any additional service charges must be paid by them before receiving their free ticket up until December 31 2020; then these tickets can be exchanged for travel vouchers of equal value; what an incredible offer!
As an additional gesture of thanks, Qatar Airways will add that those selected will receive 2,021 Qmiles to their Privilege Club accounts upon signing up, which equates to roughly US$26 in air miles. This initiative marks another way the airline has shown appreciation during this pandemic – nurses in Brazil received complimentary flights between Sao Paulo and Doha earlier this year.
