No American industry is immune from being affected by the coronavirus pandemic, with teachers being no exception. Though they’ve managed to continue teaching through remote-learning platforms, teachers deserve some form of appreciation for their efforts – which is why Reese Witherspoon’s fashion line Draper James announced today a new initiative offering teachers free dresses as a thank you gesture.

The initial announcement was met with much fanfare, with the brand promising 250 dresses for teachers. A later story in The New York Times indicated that this number may have been underestimated; regardless, social media accounts of this company have since been inundated with complaints from people who didn’t receive dresses.

Participants were eligible to win by filling out a Google Form with information such as their name, email address, grade level/subject they teach at their school and zip code of residence. Teachers selected will be notified by April 7 and can select their dress style directly from retailer websites.

Teachers can take advantage of Draper James in multiple ways to save, including subscribing to its email newsletter for exclusive offers and promo codes, shopping discounted items in the sale section or availing themselves of teacher discounts on other purchases.
